Our Lady of the Hamptons Students Learn about Musical Instrument Families
Posted on 03/15/2016
The second grade of Our Lady of the Hamptons Regional School has been learning about musical instruments families during music. The students completed a project where they needed to make their own musical instrument out of found materials at home (water bottles, coffee cans, shoeboxes, paint sticks, etc). As part of the project, they also had to write a short paragraph, describing the steps they took to make their instruments. Today, music teacher Joe Basar had the students sing a song he wrote about their instruments, and they got to play the instruments in class. They had a great time making their instruments!
